Performing and experimental film making one day workshop by artists Polly and Molly from Vermont and Texas had been active at New Zero Art Space on 27th of January, 2013. It was a kind of combining of performing and video projection. It was an encouragement to New Media for Myanmar art society and all young participated artists were enjoyed. It just one day workshop and take a little time but every participants could learn how to create themselves and to make more freely on technical.
Bios for Polly Motley and Molly Davies
POLLY MOTLEY began making dances in 1974. Her work has been presented in New York by the Asia Society, the Baryshnikov Art Center, Danspace Project,The Kitchen, Dance Theatre Workshop, Movement Reasearch, The New YorkImprovisation Festival, the Jack Tilton Gallery and Zone Chelsea. It has also been presented at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Colorado DanceFestival, The Indonesian Dance Festival, Morishita Studios/Tokyo, BalletFreiburg/Pretty Ugly, Mouson Turm Frankfurt, The Flynn Theatre in Burlington, Vermont, Bates College Museum of Art, the Edge Festival SanFrancisco, the Contemporary Arts Museum/Houston, and DIVA/Paris. Collaborators include: dancers Steve Paxton, Dana Reitz, Simone Forti, andJames Clouser; composers Charles Amirkhanian, Takehisa Kosugi, Fred Frith,and DJ M. Singe; video artist Molly Davies, and poets Anne Carson and JackCollom. Motley's current work is focused on performance installations for museums and out-of-theater spaces. She also makes dances for a diversity of dance/theater companies and teaches performance-making and improvisation in North and South America, Europe and Asia.
Motley was Associate Director of James Clouser's Space/Dance/Theater in Houston, and served as Clouser's choreographic assistant for the Houston Ballet Company, the Pittsburgh Ballet, and the Dallas Ballet. She has served on the faculties of the University of Houston, Loretto Heights College and Regis University in Denver, and Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. She was a guest artist at Naropa University where she studied dance ethnology with Allegra Fuller Snyder and worked with Barbara Dilley in improvisation, creative process, and contemplative dance. Motley earned an MFA from the University of Colorado with a thesis on the interactive relationships of video and performance.
She lives in Vermont and Texas.
Molly Davies started making experimental films in the late 1960’s in New York City. For multi media performance pieces she has collaborated with artists including John Cage, David Tudor, Takehisa Kosugi, Lou Harrison, Michael Nyman, Alvin Curran, Fred Frith, Suzushi Hanayagi, Sage Cowles, Polly Motley, Jackie Mattisse and Anne Carson. Her work in film, multi media performance and video installation has been presented at such sites as the Venice Film Festival, The Centre Pompidou, Musée de l’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris , Musée d’Art Contemporain de Lyon, The Getty Research Institute, Theatre Am Turm, The Whitney Museum, The Walker Art Center, Asia Society, The Kitchen, La MaMa ETC, Dance Theatre Workshop, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and The Indonesian Dance Festival. Her video installation work is in the collections of The Getty Research Institute, The Musée d’Art Contemporain Lyon and The Walker Art Center. A solo show of her video installation works was presented at Zone Chelsea, NYC in 2006. She did an installation for DiVA (Digital and Video Art) in Paris, October 2006 and an installation for DiVA New York in February 2007. Her multi room installation Tradtions, Inventions and Exchange was presented at the Baryshnikov Art Center in 2009. Davies is preserving and maintaining an organic farm in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
Performance documentation and Installation workshop by Daniel and Ninia (Sweden)
One week workshop upon Performance documentation and Installation had been done at New Zero Art Space from 4th February to 7th February, 2013. At the end of workshop an event of presentation upon previous works were happened on 8th February, 2013 at New Zero Art Space. There were involved a big recycled installation work, paper and photo works of reflecting mind-set and one video performance work. For all the results trainers and trainees took discussion times, practical survey and brain storming.

Our New Zero Summer Child Art Training Program will be starting as following –

Mobile Art Training Program
As a community art developing program and also to improve art education we are going to make a mobile art training program in this summer, 2013. We are going to train at Life Garden Orphanage Center from March to May 2013. Three trainers from New Zero Art Group and some volunteers will go there and teach to orphanage children. The class hours will be from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM every Friday and weekends from March to May, 2013. New Zero had been done like these mobile art trainings before at also in orphanage home and in HIV affected children centre. New Zero Art Space open free of charge art classes for adult and children every year since 2008.
